Our Background

Since 1983, Tredent Information Systems (TDS) has been supplying solutions for information communications needs. Started in 1983 by John and Gloria Tredent, TDS provided growing companies with ways to connect remote locations back to their headquarters.

The needs of businesses to connect each remote location back to corporate, whether its retail shops, manufacturing, or just a remote presence in a different state or country, allowed TDS to grow into one of the nations most effective WAN integration companies. ??Using the advent of the internet within the mid 90’s, the ease and possibilities of accessing huge amounts of information, took information communications to another level.

TDS was there, supplying companies using the routers and switches to connect to the information super highway, as it was known as then. As industries started to embrace the web, email and remote access, the way people communicate changed.

We rapidly realized the alter from conventional private line and frame relay connectivity, to harnessing the power of the web allowed people to send quick and accurate info, more price effectively using already existing web access at remote locations. Designing these connections, or VPNs, became and remains 1 of our main solutions and keeps us extremely busy as we grew to meet the needs.
